internet addictions

Before I go any further into this post I should tell you two things... no make that three.

1) K started full day kindergarten yesterday. I was freaked the hell out, but it's going fine.

2) When I got home today after I checked a couple of blogs I took a nap. My favorite thing, okay, one of my favorite things in the world is a nice nap. It was very uplifting.

3) But I'm kind of under the weather.

4) There is no four I'm just messing with you.

Onto the post shall we? I want to talk about internet kinds of things.

You know. Blogs (I have them, I read them) Youtube (I tube do You tube?) Facebook (is very cluttery) and MySpace (is making a comeback).

I've been on myspace for a couple years I think. I joined it was before I ever decided to let my blogger self out in the open air of the internets and I posted quaint and irritating little snippets there for a brief while. Mostly though I joined up to find a friend that I missed. A friend I have no idea how to contact. A friend who has a very common name and therefore when I search him I get 16,000,000 matches and even though I have on several occasions filtered through all of them I have still yet to find him anywhere.

fucker.

But he is not the reason I am talking to you about myspace today.

You, baby, are the reason I am talking to you about myspace today.

You see Facebook (smacebook) has become SOOO popular. I joined it and then popularity ensued (this is the furthest thing from the truth). People are everywhere. And they poke and prod and send flowers and little hatching things...

I really enjoyed it at first but now I long for the day of simply hanging out on a friends myspace page and following links through all of their friends and reading their back and forth comment conversations and then leaving a comment of my own.

I miss hearing their music selection on their very own "my" space. Even when the music is ass bad and I have to scramble for the pause button or mute my speakers so as to not go deaf.

I kind of like myspace.

I think, though I know it may give SOME fabulous people pains to hear this, that we should take myspace back by storm...

What say you????

Are you with me or are you... err... not caring about all this babble?

Meet me over on Myspace????

(I'll be your friend I will)

(only if I have no idea who you are just make sure you let me know I SAID I would be your friend and then I will... and I promise to lurk... sometimes)

um. You're already my friend over there. I've been neglecting myspace. But I can try. . . and I am kind of over the whole facebook thing. . .

I've had MySpace for quite a while, but I hardly ever go there.

I still love Facebook, but I deleted all the silly apps, and I decline all invitations for others. Now I pick and choose carefully and just mostly use it to keep up with the peeps.

As much as I love you, I'm afraid I'm in the not caring so much category.

I am actively ignoring those other things - I can't keep up.

But this blog, I love. I will always come back here.

I shall pass on the myspace thing. I'm uncomfortable enough with facebook.

I have myspace and facebook, as you know. I liked facebook at first, but it's just too much now. I get all sorts of crap from people that I don't even know really well. And I never have time to play with it all. Or even pass things on. Myspace is much more straightforward. But, I'm not on there much either.

I am all over your myspace, woman.

You know, I have to say...I have officially found one thing I love on facebook. My man. he has a facebook and that is the reason I do and why you get a million hatching eggs from me.

Otherwise? I kind of don't like it so much.

We already discussed this.
But you know how I feel.
FB is annoying, with too many silly things. Too many ignorant applications to get , just to send some ignoramous picture to someone.
Ick.
You always my Myspace biotch.
From the heart, girl. From the heart.
Haha

I had MySpace first, but dropped it a while back when the massive amount of spam along with too many friend requests from people I don't know started to get to me. I keep Facebook for, well, I don't know why exactly. It has werewolves.

CamiK, your MySpace page has brought more people together than Jimmy Carter.

Congrats on getting through the full-day kindergarten; naps a wonderful reward for anything difficult.

I too am over facebook. But I don't feel like I have time for MySpace right now either, though I may pop in and stalk you and Holl at times.
Still love you though.

I don't like FaceBook either. The problem with both it and MySpace is that the people you lost contact with FOR A REASON a zillion years ago find you.

I don't wish to be found all the time, but I'm not the one YOU'RE looking for so don't worry.

Oh, and one day you will dance naked in the school parking lot you will be so happy that your babe is back in school.

Honest. Trust.

I only use MySpace for my oldest who is a freshman in college... we keep up with each other.

Poor kid... she still thinks it is cool that her dad is on myspace and that she is my "friend"
