tap it

While the rest of the world was partying their socks off or sleeping or whatever it is they do on the eve of the new year I was doing something new.

After the big dinner, a little clean up and tucking the littlest Kaos into bed Mr. Kaos and I crawled into bed and put on a movie that I had gotten him for Christmas. A movie that I have always known he loved. A movie that sums up his 80's fairly well.

A movie I had never seen.

SPINAL TAP

I know I know, all of you have seen it right? I know I know. You know you know.

But I didn't know.

Didn't know the hilarity, the awesomeness, the great humor detailing the 80's in the lives of guys like these:

Did you watch it?

No? Well we're all waiting, go on watch it. You can't play along with the rest of us if you don't watch it.

Done? around 3:20 did you catch the film time of Mr. Kaos with his fluffy as hell hair in his little spandex glam suit playing the drums and singing along?

I understand my husband so much better now...

though I still think they look silly as hell...

PS: John... I'm so sorry man... so so sorry.

I knew Mr. Kaos was in a hair metal band; it just never occurred to me that I'd get to see video evidence.

You can borrow my Spinal Tap when Sadimac and I come over tomorrow.

i was playing this with headphones on, my hubby next to me reading. he looks at me, then starts to look for the pod i came out of. that's *his* music. i know that's what he's thinking (cuz i didn't realize how loud it was playing; shoulda used the volumizer).

i want to know - does mr kaos still have longish hair? b got rid of his before i knew him (goatee does not count).

OMG, how painful is that? And you put it on the internet? (or was it there already?)

Once, I did a production of Troilus & Cressida in which the Trojans were costumed like your husband in that video.

I have one thing to say.
Lick my love pump.

Jo: I couldn't have laughed harder

Landismom: He put it on the internet. My man has no shame ;)

Holly: Mr. Kaos doesn't listen to that music. lol. He has short hair. He has always had short hair since I have known him. I don't go in for the long haired fellows.

Xithor: No, I bought it for Mike. We watched it. You were too busy laughing to read.

OTJ: I think that was one of my 3 favorite parts of the movie. Just the look on his face as he tried to understand why the interviewer didn't get it.

BW: I am ready to watch it again.

Sybil: No, no they didn't

Mie, Flutter: Me toooooooo!

You never saw Spinal Tap? I am docking you cool points, sorry.

And HOW COULD YOU? How could you trick Daddy Kaos into listening to the latest PD Live? Why couldn't you wait until this Sunday's show, on which we'll be talking about music from the 70's and 80's.

He will never love me as one of his own now...

Mr Fab: Oh my dear Mr. Fab... I can honestly say that for once I am an innocent, albeit amused, bystander. Mr. Kaos and my dad listened to the show WITHOUT me. I was other wised occupied putting K to bed and then... well... I hate to admit it but I have something of a My Sims addiction going on so I was building houses for creepy little video game people...

I was getting ready to ask if I could do a 2nd show... you don't love me that way anymore do you?

Ahem... for someone who was studying classical music at the University at that time (and I was never really a jock) I got more "tail" with that act then you could shake a stick at.

And thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Mr. Kaos

Oh yeah, one last one for Landismom:

"Once, I did a production of Troilus & Cressida in which the Trojans were costumed like your husband in that video."

Funny, I often wore "Trojans" during that time period.

;)

So, is Spinal Tap the name of a movie or of a band? I've always thought of it as a painful medical procedure. Seriiously, I never heard of the movie before and I'm a little confused. What's the name of the band?
