I finished the NaNoWriMo insanity in 29 days.

How many of you can say you wrote a 50,000+ word novel in 29 days?
Well okay, so you can Jo, and so can you Holly.
And I guess that there are plenty of other people that did this whole nanoblahblahwrimothingmajig that have already finished and they can say it too.
But so can I.

And while I was slaving away (woe, oh woe is me) I got an award.

I finally got some submissions in on the 2007 Kaos Holiday Lyric Contest. The judges will actually have something to judge! Hooray!
We're still taking songs though so send them on in if you have them (just a little hint... technically they are due on Friday before midnight however I won't be looking at my email inbox until Monday morning so I bet you can sneak one in late if you need).

We cracked open some Spanish Cava tonight. I think we'll open a nice bottle of something French this weekend to celebrate...
Anyway, I am really proud of Cami and I printed out the whole draft so I can dive in and read it.

i'm doing a little dance for you. okay, it's a mental dance because i'm at work, and i work with a bunch of guys. they would just think i'm odd(er).
but i AM high fiving you! yes, i'm really rather uncool like that, and i still say things from the 80s like 'totally awesome!'
I don't think I can take the same credit that you wonderful NaNoWriMoWinNers can. I don't think it counts the way I did it. Still, I can say that I managed to write around 48,000 words in total between the two novels. I'm proud of that. Plus I was editing...I Can't.Not.Edit.As.I.Go.
So I'm happy, but even happier for you guys! I officially now want to be you when I grow up. I just wouldn't look as hot on a masthead, however.
