the germ factory, again

Step right up, don't be shy. Send them on in!

Runny nose, nasty cough, puked last night? Eh, we don't mind we like them all... one rotten apple to spoil the bunch? Nonsense!

Kid has the shits? By all means bring them in. The other kids don't mind, they'll play and dance and even share snacks with your sick little monster that roams the halls touching every doorknob with their snot encrusted fingers.... fingers that they pressed into their crusty noses, popped into their tiny mouths and that they quite probably forgot to wash after they used the the toilet.

The kids don't mind.

The school doesn't mind.

Who cares, after all what is school for, it's a germ factory right?

(sorry, this is what you get when you subject me to too many days helping at school, I get sick from of or 20 of the kids at school and then I get really really... well... like me).

It makes me cranky too. I wonder if anyone will care when I start showing up at the school with gloves and a mask.

{If only the kids were so lucky.}

2/3 of mine are at home as I type. My 12 yo woke me up at 4am crying because she felt so badly. Goofy thing is, the school is k-12 and they called this morning to make sure that I was aware that my 3rd grader was not at school. Did they ask about my absent 7th grader????no.

Hope you feel better soon!

I've been popping the vitamin C like a junkie lately. A vitamin C junkie, that is. My kiddo's had a fever, but I'm too busy to go getting sick. Take care of yourself!

I should buy stock in Lysol. The inside surfaces of my house get blasted with it during this time of year!

It wasn't the time at school. Everyone gets sick shortly after co-hosting the show.

mr. fab: Mr. Kaos was wondering about that...

darrin: I spent to much time at the school, all the lysol in the world on my counters wouldn't have fought this one from coming on, but I too am a big fan of the counter disinfecting... thanks for popping by

holmes: I need more c man, just one more man, I know you're holding.

glenwood: thank you

corey: it is sooo irritating. thank you.

for the love: they didn't ask about the 7th grader? That's INSANE.

M: My chicken pho is on its way home soon. It should help

Jess: It is a beat down immune system today.

mama milton: I might start doing it...

gf: it seems like such a simple thing... but apparently it isn't.

Sounds like the sort of day when you need a couple boxes of tissues, a massive pile of pillows, a dozen blankets on the bed and an electric blanket with a setting called "electrocute."

Been there, Cami. Not pretty.

I have to admit to being paranoid to being around someone elses cold infested child - mostly them little toddlers whos noses drain off a ton of excess fluids.. did I say fluids? I meant diseased goo, and its always all over their little faces and hands.

The only thing worse - is to see a mother pick the kid up and smooch the slime coated face without cleaning him or her up. --shivvers--

I love kids - but when they get colds, they are like Pod Creatures or something, and they are out to get you.

Ugh! That sucks, the viral vector factor of school is so stressful.
