fang me

Earlier I wrote an entire post about the fact that I was trying to fit my vampire fangs and was stuck laying on my back for 10 minutes while the adhesive cured into whatever the hell it is that molds the fangs to my teeth.

An entire post about
that. It wasn't a gem trust me.

But I wrote it and knowing how busy I am right now and how much is on my plate I almost went ahead and posted it.

Really really close.
I am still thinking about it even as I type this replacement piece because, let's be honest, this one isn't going so well either....

But I'm going somewhere, I am.

Where was I?

Halloween that's where.
Halloween costumes to be specific. With the big day almost upon us and 6,000,666 events that require costumes between now and Wednesday we're spending a lot of time making sure that all the little details (such as my fangs) are in place.

In case you hadn't guessed I'm going to be a vampire (again) (though not really again since it's been 4 or 5 years... that's a reasonable amount of time right???) (it is RIGHT?). K is dressing as a Vamp too (it's her first time, I'm so proud) even Mr. Kaos is going to be a vampire (much to his dismay, he wanted to be batman again).

We're going with a little theme while K is still young enough to not fully grasp that her mother's deep need to dress up and wander the neighborhood, march in a parade and go out to dinner in costume isn't "cool".

I'm taking advantage of that as long as I possibly can.

So while I'm scaring children with my big fangs, blood red lips and prominent
cannons what will YOU be doing, and will you be doing it in a costume?

Nope. I won't be in a costume this year. last year we had a party and I was dressed up per Snags' instructions.

Snags and his dad will be wearing costumes to troll about the neighborhood and collect candy while I sit home and pass candy out to other kids.

We have already attended two halloween activities. Two more this weekend and then Wednesday. And yes, I will be dressed up, as the Evil Queen. We all dress up every year and we usually have a theme too.

I am going to be home, luring innocent children in so I can ply them with candy. No, I don't believe I will be in a costume. I like looking at the wee little costumes, instead.

Ohhhhh Halloween is my favorite and I share a need to dress up too. My Halloween boxes of costmes are bigger and take up more room than anything else in the garage. This year? We are going to Kevin Charnas and his partner Will's yearly (www.kevincharnas.com Halloween party. He has posted about it. You would not beleive the decorations Will makes. I mean, it's better than Disneyland...all dressed up with Keaton. I shall be a pirate wench. Appropriate, no? Keaton, a pumpkin as he's too little to fit anything else. I think Susan may be a wench as well, or maybe a skeleton. We haven't sifted through the costumes yet for inspiration. Tomorrow will be the day for that.

Miss E has just returned from a Halloween party where she was the cutest witch ever.
I have a pumpkin to carve and on Halloween night we'll be handing out goodies at the door if we get home in time.
Miss E, me, my parents and my sister-in-law are off to London for the day to see 'Joseph', Miss E's birthday prezzie.
I can't wait.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your Halloween though.
:D

It's mine turn to take the kids trick-or-treating this year--but it won't be in costume. I'm very excited, though, because last year I had to sit on my porch handing out candy with laptop and cell phone fully engaged, and am likely to do so again next year (why do they have to make the election so close to Halloween, dagnabbit?). But this year I'm free to wander the neighborhood, stealing candy from my kids.
