in case you haven't heard...

I am certifiably no fun. Not fun at all. I do nothing exciting or entertaining. Never have. Ever. I am very very boring... What? K didn't tell you? Well now you know. I suck.

Don't get me wrong, my sources (okay source, K) tells me I am an excellent mom, as long as fun is not to be had. Never mind all the fun stuff we have done she wants something fun to do and RIGHT FRICKING NOW... okay, she didn't talk to me in all caps or say fricking, if she had she'd be in her room for an extended time out while I tried to figure out where the innocent child I once had was off to.

Why am I suddenly no fun? I have heard in the past (yesterday) that I am the most fun mama ever in the whole wide universe. That was a title I was proud of. Probably came from me not noticing she was walking around with a stir straw in her mouth like a farmer with a piece of hay... she loves her straws. Could be from all the Wii play we did last night (Super Monkey Ball ROCKS!!!) Who knows. But I was fun... once upon a time yesterday... but today... today I suck.

I think we will explore the reasons I am no fun... according to my source:

Reason #1: I won't give her anymore crackers
Reason #2: I should play with her instead of getting ready for Nana to arrive
Reason #3: I made her get dressed (she has a point there, I enjoy my pj's too)
Reason #4: I won't let her go to school today (she has no school on Mondays)
Reason #5: I don't have the time to throw her stuffed cat a birthday party and she just CAN'T do it herself
Reason #6: I still won't give her crackers
Reason #7: After she made 10 cards I didn't get out any more paper because I said it was time for lunch
Reason #8: I wouldn't make casserole for lunch
Reason #9: I made her brush her hair
Reason #10: She hasn't had crackers for "like a year or something, why don't you ever let me have crackers pleassssssssssseee the whole day I have wanted them everyday, you don't want me to have crackers anymore, okay I won't I am never having crackers again"

My child has an unreasonably difficult life.

PS: she had crackers this morning.

Your child and my child must be emailing each other in secret. They are conspiring against us to make us all batshit crazy! :)

I often wonder who K is calling on her purple phone... wouldn't surprise me if they had a crazy psychic phone link...
