love life

there is a dull smacking sound as Mike walks past and slaps my pj clad ass...

"Can I have some sex?"

"What my pjs tucked into my socks are a real turn on, baby?"

"umm... you know in a weird white trash kind of way you're making me horny"

silence....

prolonged silence

"is that gonna be your blog tomorrow?"

with that I have to say that isn't our typical sex life and I don't wish to share with you what is... if I did I would spend a lot more time writing about it... but it does get me wondering why so many people are so quiet about something that is so great... or in some cases maybe not so much.

Speaking as a happily happily loved married woman, I like sex. It's good. I had my fair share of bad sex, uncomfortable sexual situations, regrettable sex, memorable sex and forgettable sex but you always go back for more right?

So what is it about this oh so important aspect of our lives that keeps us quiet?

Why do so many people settle in the sex department?

Is it really that important?

The answers as far as I can tell are: Upbringing, I have no clue and Yes.

Those are the answers for me anyway. My mom and dad never said sex is naughty don't talk about it. But they never talked about it. It was always a big taboo in school, people actually fought and still fight for schools not to tell kids about it... so SHHHHHHH it's a big secret. As for why people settle, I really don't get it... but is that because sex is important to me?

OOH! Sex, did you realize you are talking about S-E-X? Who do you think you are??? That is just not right. Yes, I am having a hard time keeping a straight face - even more so thinking back on some of the conversations WE have had over the years!!

I think I'll be slapping Scott in his pj'd butt tonight myself. :)

Oh I missed this one somehow.
Hmmm. Sex is important. I was brought up catholic, so it was also a little taboo. But you get over that and then it's great. ;)
