Never heard of it before ...I never seen "Election". Never heard of it before in fact. But now that I have.., If I can remember it, I'll rent it or buy it or something. If I can remember it. I tend to forget many of the films I intend to watch when I get to the video store. Who are you again and what am I doint here? Never mind! I dont want to know. Spoilers ya know. ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37421901.post-58728785344176988292007-05-29T10:25:00.000-07:002007-05-29T10:25:00.000-07:00Interesting... because I, as you know, do not like...Interesting... because I, as you know, do not like Sienfield. But I found the absurdities of these characters so entertaining... And while I did feel sympathetic for the male candidate he seemed to me to be the only character that wasn't as highly characterized. They made that character a softer version of what people might recall or envision. I felt that his role wasn't quite as strong as the others because he wasn't such a cliché, such a stereotype. Yes he was clueless, but you sympathized with him because he was also kind... In doing the hurtful things he did, he was too naive to realize he was hurting anyone... while everyone else was who they were regardless of consequence.

I think often in life people are stupid, smug and cruel in an uneducational way.

That is I think 2 movies in the world we have disagreed on.CamiKaoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15802013252571263847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37421901.post-13964722700658016122007-05-29T10:10:00.000-07:002007-05-29T10:10:00.000-07:00Huh. I found all of the characters, save for the "dumb jock", entirely unsympathetic.

It was like watching a two hour episode of Sienfeld: smug people being stupid, cruel, and learning nothing. I'll take Rushmore instead please.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
